“I chose this photo because I see myself in it—relaxed, confident, and comfortable being who I am. From my laid-back pose on the steps to my favorite denim and sneakers, nothing feels forced. I didn’t need to be anyone else to create a photograph I love.

I wanted a 36 × 24-inch wall canvas because this moment deserved more than a small screen. The size lets me appreciate the details and gives the photo a beautiful presence in my home.
